9th Day of Christmas // Crepe Paper Gift Bows

Does having custom gift wrap take extra work? The answer is yes. The way I see it is that it shows you care. You went the extra mile when you could've bought a bow. There's a time and a place for all things and I think Christmastime is perfect for reaching a little further to make things extra nice, pretty, thoughtful, etc. All that to say, this project is fun and you should do it. It takes a bit of party streamers which you may or may not keep around ( I do) and white wrapping paper.

Supplies:

• white wrapping paper

• crepe paper streamers in color of choice

• thin gauge floral wire

• scissors

Directions:

1. Cut the streamers into 3" sections. You'll need about 5 strips per gift. You will also need to cut bits off in double the length of each gift if you are going to wrap them around it. You should do that. 2. Fringe the ends of each strip. This can be done all at once by stacking them on top of each other. 3. Cut a 6" piece of wire and form into a half circle. 4. Using the fringed crepe paper pieces, wrap and twist them around the wire. This will result in a fluffy little fluff. Continue until you've reached the desired amount of fluff for your bow. 5. Wrap the wire around the streamers that have been wrapped around the gift (like you would with a ribbon).
