19th Day of Craftsmas // Clementine Pomander Rustic Wreath

I just learned about pomander's this year. Essential it is a potpourri that is made with citrus fruit and then pierced with cloves. The smell is divine and will supposedly dry completely out for you to keep for years to come. I doubt I will keep these same ones for next year, mostly because I enjoy the process of making them. Clementines were used because they are adorably small and not too heavy for the purpose of hanging them from this branch I found.

Supplies:

  • 5 small clementines (or more!)
  • 1 small container of whole cloves (from the spice aisle)
  • 1 pine branch about 24" long
  • Pretty ribbon
  • wire + string

Directions:

1. Go around piercing the clementines with the cloves in any pattern you like.

2.  Wrap the finished clementines with your ribbon like you would wrap a present, with a bow on top. 3. Attach a piece of wire to the bow and attach the pomanders to your pine branch*

4. Attach one long string to either end of the branch. This will be used for hanging it. Enjoy!

* I reenforced my branch with a stronger stick. Just attach the stick using wire to the back of the pine branch.
