DIY // Tissue Paper Votives

This project reminds me of when I was a teenager and I tissue papered a bunch of glass bottles to decorate the tables at my high school graduation party. Anyway, they turned out adorable and I want everyone to try it with these glass votives. The colored tissue paper that you used is only limited to your imagination.

Supplies:

  • glass votives ( found these at World Market)
  • tissue paper
  • mod podge
  • paint brush

Directions:

1. Paint the surface of the candle holder with the mod podge. Tear the tissue paper into small strips. They don't have to look perfect unless you want it to.

2. Gently press the tissue paper onto the glue with the paintbrush, your fingers, whatever.

3. Smooth out any parts that look rough or are sticking out over the top. Allow to completely dry, add a candle, throw a party!
