DIY // Cherry Blossom Branches

I first saw this project

here

and I've adapted it a bit. It's honestly very easy and it would be a fun project to do with little kids. You can always skip the ink blotting step, too. It's a great craft for those who don't have a bunch of time to make crafts.

Supplies:

  • craft glue
  • 1-2 sheets of tissue paper
  • pink ink or pink watercolor
  • 2-3 sticks from the yard

Directions:

  1. Go around and gather a few small sticks from the yard. This activity, in it self, is fun for kids. I like the ones with several smaller branches on it.
  2. Tear pieces of paper in a rough 1"x 1" square. It certainly does not need to be perfect. We are making an artistic representation of a cherry blossom.
  3. Once you have your squares, take the center of it and dip it into your ink or paint. Allow to dry.
  4. Place a little dot of glue wherever you feel like the blossoms should go on the branches. That's it. Have fun!
