Cozy Book Recommendations

With winter comes nights spent at home getting cozy on the couch. I feel like I get my most solid reading times in throughout winter. I've compiled a list of books I have read and liked and some that are on my list to read. I like Ernest Hemingway very much so there are two of his books on this list. I am no expert on books or literature, these are just some books that I like. There are so many more that I'd love to recommend but I don't want to overwhelm anyone. What is everyone else reading? Any recommendations?

Books read and enjoyed:

  1. Quiet by Susan Caine (great read if you're an introvert)
  2. Blood, Bones, & Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton  (a memoir of chef Gabrielle Hamilton. Very inspiring read for cooks)
  3. Islands in the Stream by Ernest Hemingway ( a mature, posthumously released work.)
  4. Letters To A Young Poet by Ranier Maria Rilke ( a great little bedside table book for those who like to write)
  5. The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway (good place to start if you've never read Hemingway)
  6. The Yiddish Policemen's Union by Michael Chabon (very good read)
  7. The Beautiful and The Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald (if you liked the Great Gatsby...)

Books on my list to read:

  1. Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger (not pictured)
  2. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
  3. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee ( I know, I know. I've never read it.)
  4. This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald
