Jar Seed Sprouting DIY

This is a great project for all of those extra jars you have around your house. Join us on April 22nd (earth day) at Luna's Living Kitchen from 11:30-2:00pm where will be making these little seed sprouters. Just bring a jar and we will provide the rest.

Supplies:

  • Jars with lids (these are from Luna's) 
  • Organic potting soil 
  • Rocks 
  • Organic herb seeds (we used basil and cilantro 

Directions: 

1. Gently place the rocks in the bottom of the jar.

2. Fill the jar 3/4 of the way with soil.

3. Place 5-6 seeds on top of soil, lightly cover with soil; water and place lid on top.

4. Seeds should sprout within 5-7 days and can be transplanted once they mature a bit.
