12th Day of Craftsmas // Glittered Bottle Brush Tree Place Settings

They are cute. They are festive. I can't think of a better use for bottle brushes.

Supplies:

  • Bottle brushes - can be found at Target, etc Or you could use little trees from the craft store
  • Small terra cotta pots
  • Glass glitter
  • White paint
  • Craft glue
  • Tinsel
  • Clear or white glass beads
  • Hot glue gun

Directions:

1. Carefully remove the handle of the bottle brush with wire cutters. Trim the brush end to make it look like a small christmas tree. It really isn't difficult at all!

2. Paint both the little terra cotta pot and tree with white paint. Allow to dry and then paint both again with glue. Liberally sprinkle both with the glitter.

3. Dab a bit of hot glue to the bottom of the inside of the pot and fill it with a small bundle of silver tinsel.

4. Dab the bottom of the tree with hot glue and stick it in the tinsel. This step takes a bit of finesse. You may have to tinker with it and add more hot glue if needed.

5. Randomly glue the beads to the tree and put one on top, too.
