New Year's Eve Inspiration // 3 Different Make-up Styles

Hi everyone! We thought we would treat our viewers to a little bit of make-up inspiration. While neither of us are trained make-up artists, we did some looks for the everyday girl. All the looks are easy to accomplish and you probably have everything you need right there in your make-up bag. All of the products used are listed in the bottom of the post.

Look Number One // Subtle Cat Eye with Gold Shadow and Hot Pink Lips

For the eyes and lips:

1. Starting with the corners of your eyes, use a white pencil or white eye-shadow to line the inner corner and a bit of the lower lash line. Then add your light gold eyeshadow and cover the whole lid including the corners. Take a bit of bronze shadow and line the bottoms of your eyes.

2. Using gel or liquid eye liner (black), line the top lid using a swift stroke that wings out. Like a cat eye. It takes practice to master it. Here is a good tutorial for the cat eye method.

3. Once all of that is finished, go ahead and layer on the mascara. I tried to focus mostly on the top lashes. I think I put it on about three times ( Hey, it's New Years).

4. All you gotta do is make sure your skin is looking fresh and blushed and grab some hot pink lipstick and you're all set!

Look Number Two // Easy Smoky Eye and Nude Lips

For the eyes and lips:

1. Start by lining your eyes ( tops, bottoms, corners, etc) with a black smudgy eye pencil. Then, using an eyeshadow brush and darkish brown eyeshadow, go around the eye and cover it with the shadow while smudging the liner by stroking the brush in an upward manner. There should not be a harsh line. You basically want to blend the shadow and liner together to make a nice smoky look. I also added a touch of gold to the corners of my eyes.

2. Like with the first tutorial, you want to use loads of black mascara, top and bottom.

3. I paired this look with nude lips. One thing I have learned is that if you are going heavy on the eye make-up, go light on the lips.

Look Number Three // Gold on Gold with Red Lips

For the eyes and lips:

1. This look is the easiest. I used a mixture of the light gold eyeshadow from the first post, with the brightest gold that I had. I put the light gold in the corners and just covered the rest of my lid and on the lower lash line with the darker gold.

2. No eyeliner needed! Just brush on some mascara.

3. For the lips, I chose red because it is festive and fun, always. Pick your favorite one, preferably a shade that suits your skin tone. Done and done.
