Eating In // Bacon Wrapped Dates

I normally say that recipes are easy, and they are, but this recipe is truly EASY. You cannot mess it up and it tastes so good. Seriously. I recently served them at a party and they were the absolute favorite. I kept having to tell people the recipe and they just couldn't believe there was only two ingredients. Ok, so, let's get at it.

The Goods:

Serves 5-6

  • 1 lb your favorite bacon ( I noticed that super thick bacon doesn't work quite as well)
  • about 20 pitted and dried dates
  • toothpicks

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Meanwhile, cut the bacon in half. I just took the whole slab and sliced it right down the middle. That way, the pieces of bacon are smaller and it doubles the amount.
  2. Wrap a bacon half around each date and place on a baking sheet seam-side down. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and crisp. To serve, stick a toothpick in each date. If you are throwing a party and you need a lot of these, just double or triple the recipe. So simple!
