Men's Style Tie Series 02 // The Half Windsor

The Half Windsor knot is a triangular knot that is a more modest version of the Windsor Knot. It can be paired with any dress shirt and is really nice with light to medium fabrics. In this case, Jonathan is wearing a light cotton tie, with a cotton shirt with a linen sports coat - perfect for a casual date night out.

01. Start with the wide end of your the tie on the right, extending about 12 inches below the narrow end on the left.

02. Then cross the wide end over the narrow end.

03.

Bring the wide end around and behind the narrow end.

Then bring the wide end up.

Pull the wide end through the loop and to the right.

04. Then bring the wide end up and over to create a loop.

05 + 06. Pull the wide end through the loop and to the right.

07 + 08.

And -- using both hands -- tighten the knot carefully and draw it up to the collar.
