Eating In // Overnight Oatmeal

Everyone deserves to start the day with a healthy breakfast. It's not always so easy to make enough time in the morning for breakfast but this recipe makes it easy.

The Goods:

4 servings

  • 1 cup steel-cut oats (not instant)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups water

1. Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the oatmeal and seasonings and cover. Let sit overnight off heat.

2. Warm the oatmeal over medium heat in the mornings or store in the refrigerator and heat individual servings in the microwave throughout the week. If you fancy dried cranberries or raisins that can be added in the beginning with the rest of the ingredients. Also, 1/2 cup of oatmeal can be substituted with 1/2 cup quinoa for a protein blast.
