25 Days of Craftsmas: Heart of Gold Ornament

At Madewell, they sell these adorable little ornaments that are frosted glass with a gold heart on them. Instead of paying $14 for one, why not make one yourself? It's super cool and so cute.

Supplies:

  • Clear glass ornaments (The same ones we have been using, purchased at Michaels)
  • Liquid Leaf paint in gold (Michaels or Hobby Lobby)
  • Fluffy brush
  • Small paintbrush
  • Glass paint in "Frost" (Martha Stewart crafts at Michaels)

1. Paint your bulb with the Frost paint using the fluffy paintbrush. Try to get as even as possible. There will some brush strokes but they will be less noticeable once the paint is completely dry.

2. Place the bulb somewhere where it can dry without touching anything. This mini Eiffel Tower worked well :)

3. Once the ornament is dry, paint a little heart using the gold paint and the small brush.

Or make polka dots!

These even make great gifts or party favors!
